One of Chicago’s best kept secrets on the net is the amazing sample archive known as The Breaks. Complied and maintained largely by the man known simply as Xombi, the site can tell you almost every sampling of say, “Funky Drummer” (182 times!) or what DJ Shadow and Tupac have in common.
